The future of AI is here, and the AI Verify Foundation is leading the way in building trustworthy AI and growing the open-source community.

On 31 Aug 2023, at IMDA PIXEL in Singapore, the Foundation held its inaugural in-person meet-up, which saw an overwhelming registration and turn-out from likeminded companies and individuals who strongly believe in the transformative power of AI, while ensuring that AI is used in a responsible manner.

The event kicked off with a keynote speech by Denise Wong, Assistant Chief Executive (Data Innovation and Protection Group) at IMDA, who shared the broad vision of the Foundation. Dr Ong Chen Hui, Assistant Chief Executive (Business and Technology Group) at IMDA, then took the stage to share the Foundation’s roadmap and collaboration opportunities.

Attendees were also treated to a demo video of the AI Verify toolkit (watch here) and learned about the upcoming sessions in September and October for developers on how to use AI Verify and how to build plug-ins. They also gained valuable insights into the governance of Generative AI through a sharing by Lee Wan Sie from IMDA, on Singapore’s early thinking in this area.

The event concluded with networking over delicious food and drinks, as well as visiting the AI Verify tech clinic and taking home the first-ever AI Verify Foundation stickers as souvenirs.
